My Experience with Rent The Runway

{Everything else is c/o my bff Aimee!}

I recently talked all about the trip Michael and I took to Austin a few weeks ago (Read here for more about our trip!) I had the privilege of being invited to Kendra Scott's headquarters in Austin, Texas for a South by Southwest event they were hosting alongside LiketoKNOWit. It was so fun and so encouraging! More on that here

Anyways, for the event I knew that I needed the perfect pieces of Kendra Scott's jewelry! I also knew that this event was planned super last-minute and that I had to stick to a budget...🙂

I had heard about Rent the Runway before, but had never set out to rent anything before. I decided to play it safe for my first round and choose all jewelry pieces. However, they do give you the option of choosing 2 different sizes and a backup piece (the backup piece goes for jewelry too!).

Outfit details in this post.

The entire renting process is so easy:

1.
Search by item type, size, pricing, etc.

2
Scroll through previous reviews. This is so helpful when you're wondering how the piece will fit your body type. Most reviewers share their height/weight/usual size so you can get a feel of what it will look like on you.

3.
Once you've decided this is the item you want to rent, enter your zip code, pick your free backup size, and decide whether you need the item for 4 days or an 8-day rental- I chose 8 days because we were gone Thursday to Sunday and I wanted the pieces a day early!

4.
Next, choose your dates! I wanted my pieces the day before we left so that I knew they were in my hands and ready to go when we left on Thursday. The calendar provided on the website is really good at explaining when you can expect your delivery (by 8pm!) and when to ship your item back (12, noon.)

5.
Add to bag! After you click this, you'll be prompted to select a backup piece. However, you don't have to do this if you feel confident yours will work!

The entire process was so smooth. Everything was in right on time and I shipped my items back with the return envelope they provided in my original packaging. These girls have it down! Also to note, both jewelry pieces I rented were in perfect condition. You could tell that they had been well taken care of.

I would highly recommend RTR to my girlfriends and plan on using them again soon!

(Editor's Note: They have two great promos happening now! First, Rent 1 Get 2 Free {Code: SPRING3FOR1} This one is limited time! Second, if this is your first time to hear about or rent from RTR, get 20% off your first rental {Code: FIRSTRTR})

Thanks for reading! I would love to hear if you have tried Rent The Runway before and what goodies you chose!!
